Rates, Terms, and Conditions

Thanks for your interest in Fuhs Studio. Here are some guidelines to keep in mind for purchasing voiceover services from Fuhs Studio.

Rates are based on a few factors, including the placement (television, radio, internet, audiobook…), the market (is it local, national, or international?), the length of the recording, or the number of words, and the usage of the audio.

Please let me know what you are looking for, and any details about your requirements for the voiceover. What message are feeling do you want to convey. Let me know what you heard in my demos or my audition that motivated you to contact me for your project. Is the work finite, or is it an ongoing series, or a recurring character in a game? Are you a small-business startup, or independent creator with a smaller budget? All information makes it easier to give you a proper quote, and to know exactly what you want in terms of the read and the production. If you are uncertain, I’d be happy to help by asking the questions and discussing your needs.

In terms of audio production, Some clients want a processed file (I prepare the file with studio tools such as compression and eq), while others want a raw file so they can work their own technical magic.

Some clients want me to work on the file and upload it to Google Drive or Dropbox. Others may choose a live-directed session, using Source-Connect, Skype, or Zoom.

Included in Rates:

  • Use of the Studio

  • A broadcast quality Voiceover in your requested format (WAV, Mp3, and other formats, and technical specifications).

  • Free retakes (Please note that changes to the script should be made before the recording process, otherwise it would be charged as a new project).

Extras:

  • For small-business clients who may need help with language, and grammar (for a short script, one or two pages max) I would be happy to edit your copy free of charge, if desired.

  • If you require some short music to introduce a passage, this is possible for a negotiated fee.

Payment Terms and Conditions:

Once you agree to the project, the starting date has commenced, and you receive my invoice, the fee is payable within 30 days, by bank transfer  (Canadian residents will be charged the appropriate taxes).

Payment via Paypal, Square, or Stripe are available options, however please note that there is an additional service fee, for each.

Please contact me for a quote, and again, be as specific as possible. For a reference of current Standard Rates, please see Gravy For The Brain.

Again, my quotes depend on a variety of factors, so please ask for a quote. I’m happy to give you a quote, provide a custom audition, and discuss your project. There is no obligation.

Late Payment:

If invoices are not paid within 30 days, then a late fee based on current Canadian laws and regulations will apply. If you think it may take longer, we may agree on a different payment amount (or installment plan) in advance.

Revisions - Terms and Conditions:

As we begin, you will tell me what you want, and I will send you a sample to approve.  If you like the style and tone of the read, I will continue the voiceover recording process. Let me know if you are happy with these recordings, or if I need to re-record. That’s all included. If you decide you need changes to the script after the recording has taken place, additional fees will apply. That is to say, once the voiceover has been accepted, and invoiced, further revisions are generally counted as a new purchase of services.

A live-directed session with Source-Connect (or Skype, Zoom, telephone etc). With Source-Connect you may be recording me at your end using this technology. And / or  I can send you the recording file I saved at my end. For live-directed sessions, generally, I will charge the minimum hourly studio rate of 250.00, and if we go over the agreed upon time, a prorated amount (for example, an extra 30 minutes would be half that rate, $125.00). Additional fees will be included in our agreement (based on usage, market etc.). Other considerations: you may want the complete raw file, for your engineer to edit, or you may opt for me to clean up (process and edit) the long file which I recorded, as you directed. Let me know in advance.

Please, make yourself comfortable!
